For large items, we ask that you text (530) 354-5571 , email email@example.com, or bring pictures by the shop of the pieces you would like to consign so we are able to get a sense of the style & condition. If your items are smaller and easy to bring in for on-site evaluation, feel free to bring them by.
We do a 50% split to our consigners. We do not charge any additional fees, as some consignment stores do.
The consignees’ portion is ready for pick up on the 15th day of the month following the month in which the merchandise is sold. For example, if we sell an item in March, the payout is April 15th.
Consignments must be clean and functional upon arrival. We only accept items from smoke free environments. If your furniture is upholstered, it must be free of stains and pet odors & dander.
Experience in the market place and fair market value helps us determine the price. Any information our consigners provide on the history of the piece, where it was purchased from, and how much was originally paid helps us in pricing pieces fair.
Newer pieces, rustic farmhouse, mid-century, import styles, neutral colors, clean lines & brand name (Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Pier One, Ethan Allen to name a few) sell best. Vintage and antique pieces also sell well and add interesting elements to decorating.
Very large pieces like entertainment centers, armoires, and large hutches do not sell very well. Oak furniture, pastel florals, figurines, and china are also out of style so we try to avoid accepting these consignments.
